We're looking a Great new team member!

Occu-Med Health Services has an immediate opening for an Onsite Coordinator for Audiometric Testing.  This is a permanent, part-time casual position with hours that vary from week to week, but with some room for growth.

What are we looking for?

First & foremost - we're looking for someone that fits with our organization and our team. We want people who have a "can do" attitude.  Secondly, we need someone with great attention to detail,  and at least basic computer skills.

The Job:

We need a team member that will help clients manage the flow of employees to our mobile hearing testing truck, which travels to client sites to conduct audiometric (hearing) tests.  The job involves:

  • travel to client sites in Southern Ontario;
  • interaction with a large number of our client's employees during the testing process, and
  • overnight stays at hotels  (as required on a job-by-job basis);
  • odd hours, like early morning starts, as dictacted by our client's schedule(s);
  • working under some pressure, especially if things break while on the job-site.

In addition, the Coordinator will also be cross-trained to conduct hearing testing, so their can relieve or back-up the audiometric technicians.

The requirements:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Above average attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Good ability to communicate in English, since communicating with clients is a key requirement.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Outstanding willingness to serve others.
  • Clean driving record & 'mechanical' ability (to troubleshoot equipment and/or vehicle).

We offer:

What we offer:
Training We don't expect you to know how to do hearing testing, or how to run our software.   We're patient teachers, but we need you to have basic computer literacy.
Flexibility on the number (and distribution) of hours to be worked The Coordinator's hours can vary from 10 to 30 hours per week, depending on client schedules and location
Reasonably flexible vacation schedule

Our business cycle follows the school year.
We don't usually work between Christmas & early January

We demand of each other:

  • That service delivery personnel (you) be punctual and responsible - because you represent all of us, and our clients depend on us and work around us in many cases.
  • That all team members be able to work as part of a "peer" team where we expect you to offer your opinion and thoughts.
  • That you be willing to work with the team - and pitch in when necessary.
  • That you be passionate about presenting your ideas during discussion - but know that we all head in the same direction once the decision is made.

To Apply:
